Paiseh... very long never blog liao. Yup Pau and I went for holiday but to 2 different parts of india. Its not that we dun like each other, its just that the trips were very last mintue. So pau went to Mulund, Janjira and Kashid. I went to Goa. All the above mentioned places have great beaches.

Goa-----

I went to Goa with Allison (the USA exchange student) and we spent 3 nights there. It was really fun.

Mode of transportation: Sleeper bus (liken a double decker bed-12 hrs)
Hotel: Resort by the beach (a little cottage)
People: Friendly (loads of tourists)
Language: English

Well goa is known for cheap beer and its clubbing scene, we visited a club which was on a hilltop and it had a great view. The club had a beach setting and the dance floor was in a enclosed roon, which was really hot. Paid bout 16SGD for cover and free drinks. Spent the rest of my time shopping, yup check my blog for pictures of my purchases. We also relaxed by the beach and had a glass of beer and fries..... ahhhhhhhhh... it was relaxing.

Back to reality, we have a test on thursday for 5 chapters, which I have no idea what is going on.. coz got no tutorial... and I have tons of clothes to wash.. arggghhhhh...

Ame, yup i remember which GL you are talking about... oooooo he is cute... heheheh.. eye candy.
Shu, time to start studying liao hor... hehehehe... i know you are a changed man....hehehe

Firstly, jud wanna shout it out loud: "I MISS YOU GUYS!" It has been quite a boring life in NTU. Oh bao... i miss laughing at your silliness, but then i miss you even more ya. Anyway, i do wear the necklace tt u guys gave me as a b'day present very often. Makes me feel your presence.

heard tt u guys will be gg for a holiday soon. Wah... So nice. We r stuck in s'pore with all the projs. We have got 2 projs at hand now and then all of us are stuck at the core modules. Dun really know what the profs are saying. hmm.. guess it's time to go for consultations already.

Anyway, shu is very silly loh. He nv use his Sigg bottle for a year, then last week, he only rinse with water and then he used it!! oh my! after drinking the water, he got a terrible sore throat. Imagine how much rust, algae, or bacteria he has drunk! Shu has been quite well-behaved. He comes for most of the lectures and reads up by himself if he skips the lectures. Then he also come to sch and study with me on days when we dun have lessons. (tt happened only once but then it's a good start.) So good job!

Our study partner is now alvin. He is very zai and he helps me and shu a lot so I have decided to stick to him for this sem. I try to pull shu along to study with us, so hopefully it will be a great sem studying tgt. Basically, the 5 of us, plus rg and sing lynn will sit tgt during lectures. Rg and sing lynn r very close, but then rg insisted there is nothing gg on and he keeps pushing sing lynn to shu. (reason being sing lynn and qing lin sounds alike.) So we will just pretend there is nothing gg on. HEE!

As for me, I have been quite strong. Facing the sch and also the couple. They are practically seen tgt everyday and the whole sch knows what is gg on. Coz i have got ppl who dun really know me well asking me personal qns. Well, I guess this is a test for me to be stronger. I avoid the couple whenever I can, but sometimes, shu and ame sit tgt with them so i have got no choice. And then sometimes, rg ask me to book seats for them during PE. How can i say "no"? (ya.. we are taking the same PE! damned! as if being in the same class is not terrible enough.)

~I dun deny the fact tt i still hate them. So ame and shu, if i dun sit with u guys during lec, pls understand why ya... Thanks in advance. And the reason why i prefer to sit in front is coz i dun like to see them tgt. Ame, pls choose front seats next time coz u always come the earliest. It's just human to feel and act this way. So sorry...~

Alright, enough abt bitching. Hope you guys update us regularly in this blog, we feel tt u guys r MIAing loh! Tata!!

long time nobody posted anything hehe..guess we're all busy. well in spore, we have like TONS of assignments. this week alone we were supposed to pass up 3 assignments. on top of having 2 quizes (1 only for me though hehe). n the assignments are killer (esp unit ops)..heheh
sometimes i think i'm in the wrong course. i'm like enjoying the bio mods (bioseparations, bioanalytical techniques, bio in popular media:science or fiction) i'm taking but cant stand the cores ones. i shld have like gone to SBS or bioengin or sth. *sighs* oh well... gonna grad already..so yeah..
OH OH OH..... u remember during Nueve, i was going on and on abt this guy? (this certain GL???? remember remember, Bao and Mei??) heheh he's in one of my mods...wheeeeeeee....... okae okae...

these are some pics of us in lecture.

The first pic is how our lecture theater looks like. It is quite big, abt the size of the LTs in south spine. Anyway, as you can see, me and ame not paying att in lecture. OHOH!!! but vinay wasn't using the mike so his voice was highly muffled when it reached our ears. (EXCUSES!)

And also there is this pic of an uncle, who joined us in unit ops lecture. heehee.. ame very mean, asked me to take pic of our unique module-mate. Shd be a pHD student, maybe can get to know him and ask him to help us in unit ops.

Shu looks a bit weird in the pic coz he can't smile. He has ulcers and his mouth hurts. Very ke lian, when he eat, he had difficulty chewing and swallowing. So shu, drink more water and take care.

Ame is right abt the coldness in the CBE building. It's practically like below 10 degreesC lah! Our hands are trembling even as we write our notes. And the brain cells can't work coz they are abt to go into hibernation mode. I can feel tt I am in US tgt with XX! haha!! Oh well, the whole building is cold so we do not stay in the building if possible.

We will post more pic of us again... when we feel bored in the midst of lectures. Haha!!

It's mi again!...finally 1st wk had past...v tiring..workload really siong here..got readings n doing hw everyday..mi taking 2 labs here..n their lab got prelab, lab report n oral presentation for every lab..n for the process ctrl, we haf lab + lec + 4 design projects...so end up i onli take 4 subs here - process ctrl, UO lab, numerical mthds n HRM..need to use lots of matlab n hysys..so lots of catching up to do.. everyday i got scared awake by my alarm clock..morning lesson @ 8am..then for those days with labs worse, c dark sky when i go to sch n come back from sch ah..

Ppl here r nice..we meet a number of ppl we help us ard the sch..my roomies r also v friendly..1 of them is from cbe..she lend mi textbk..cost of an used textbk here is USD 100+, which is madness la..can get SGD 50 lor in spore..so we send some textbk over by post...the other roomie is a GT craze..she from top to bottom to her cups n her room..all GT stuffs...got shirt, slippers, flag, cups etc..u name it she has it.. she also teaches mi some french ah..

i gg stone mt park tml n premium outlet on sun..last wk to play so muz really go all out for it...keep a look out on the pics ba..!!!btw i post some pics on my friendster blog also n msn gp..can go c..

hey its been a long time since i've blog, well everything's been great. Its been the second week of sch and most of the lectures have no tutorial, but our timetable is quite packed:

8.30-12.30 everyday (with only an hour break between lessons on three days)
12.30-2 (lunch time)
2-5 (lab and lesson on three days)

Yup between 12.20-2, everyone would walk back to their hostel to have lunch, and we have lab exams too... argggghhhhhh.

Few exciting things that have been happening:

1. Visited a local club (plays english and hindi pop)
2. Rode on motorcycle
3. Bought a local sim card
4. Pau is performing in an annual production today, dancing with tealights. (would try to video tape or grab some pictures)

first 3 days of sch has past for Shu Jud n myself. we are using the NEW CBE building... whee..nice nice..everything sooo new..but it's really exclusive. only got us CBE pple... yr1 yr2 yr3... the BIE pple in another block. n the blocks arent even connnected. hehe..we are still trying to find our way around. heh.. need to enter our building (N1.2) though N1 which is the CEE block...am i boring u guys with the details?? hahah

anyways, our CBE LT is niice.. but FREAKING cold. i'm serious. all of us were like shivering. Jud n I had jackets but Shu thought by wearing a thicker shirt he wouldnt be cold, but turns out he was reeeally cold..

oh oh...matlab's pretty fun.. hehe we had our first tutorial with leslie. hehe eni has the pirated copy of matlab so we're gonna take from her..muahaah... original copy costs a bomb. few thousands. so far our mods are okae. but we've already got homework for unit ops (Prof Raymond) to be passed up on fri... siiiiaaann... n it looks difficult (by this u can tell i havent even attempted it yet hahah)... den for our specialization we have HW too... guess we gotta be really hardworking this sem.

Yup sch has started over here. Lectures are conducted in the same way as Santosh, so have ta copy notes everyday. Its been fun so far, just that I have totally lost touch with HAM and am having trouble with the assignment which comprises of seemingly simple qns.

Met some really nice classmates, who have offered to help us in our studies and also to bring us around.

One of my classmate was saying that they dun study and dun copy notes, they would get the notes from the girls two weeks before the exams and they would be able to pass. Well this coming from an IIT student means that me being a below average student have to study from day 1.

hey thanks to all who have been asking how i'm doing over here, its relly sweet to hear that when I am all alone in India. Well not very alone.. hehehehe.

Had chapati making lessons yesterday. It was fun, its hard to make it really round, but allison was good at it. If she dont excel in Chem Eng, she can always open a chapati shop in the US. It was great interacting with the ladies who made our meal, they were very motherly and laughed a lot. Even though there was a language barrier, we managed to laugh through it.
After our chapati lesson, we took a bus down to Linking road for shopping. Yup you might think I am crazy to take a bus, but it was very safe, the guys would avoid the ladies. It was a little crowded though, being short I could only hold on to Allison for support. For India buses, one could only board from the back and alight at the front. A bus conductor would stand at the back and collect the fare from you and issue u a ticket. After recieving the ticket, one is allowed to walk pass him and attempt to move to the front of the bus. Thank God we met this really kind lady on the bus, who was getting down at the same place as us. Had the chance to sit next to her and got a little conversation going. She was really friendly and recommended me food to eat and places to visit.Upon reaching Linking road, we saw the rows of shops at the side of the street. They mainly sold shoes, traditional tops and bags. It was similar to Fashion street but offered more variety.

Today, we registered for our subjects and settled payments for the hostel. Yup we have been staying and eating for free.... hehehe. Allison and I spent the rest of day walking round school and getting her mobile. We took things slow today, as its school day tomorrow. Pau and Jeannie headed downtown and also to Juhu beach. Guess Allison and I would catch that another day. Even though Allison and I spent the day in school, it was rewarding as we made 3 new friends. Since allsion got her mobile, we took down their numbers. They were very sweet as they offered to show us around and bring us to the south of India. One even open up her house to us.

Not sure if I have mentioned it before, but toilet papers are not provided over here!! So we got to get our own, and it cost SGD 4.50 for a roll of toilet paper.

Happy New Year!!!

Well, i juz had my new yr count down..it's different from ours ah..can c blacks getting into fights coz they cant squeeze thru the human traffic, n all those F word was all around..tt was not so good part..some nicer 1 ones..we can c ppl dancing(while they actually do line dance) n every1 'll juz join in..but the onli dance we do is Chicken Dance(the onli 1 we know among all..lucky learn tt in sec sch)..doing chicken dance in the middle of the walkway is the sort funnie as we wont do tt in spore..ha..(sorry no pic for tis as i bring the cam n forgot tt my batt is charging in the hostel)..as we took the latest train to the Peachdrop countdown, u can c lots of ppl running up the flights of stairs, we ran also v chuan3..old liao..juz nice to c the peach crawling down tis tower..n we cant really c fireworks coz got blocked by some buildings..they got tis live concert by tis gp call "lonestar" whole thing ends ard 2pm..we also met tis police woman, we ask her to take photos for us..she says: " I know how to do it..Juz point and shot right?"..

Today is my 2nd day in atlanta after the super long flight..ard 30 hrs..now is ard 5am in youth hostel..all the sporean r like online now on tis same big table..like a call centre..ytd b4 i go countdown..i went tis undergrd atlanta..an undergrd shopping ctr..almost 99% of the stores r own by blacks..we saw tis "I m black and I m proud of it " t-shirt to commerate James Brown 1 of the blacks singer..haf the urge to buy but dun dare to wear ah..

i also went to coca-cola museum..can c the bottling up of the drink..all those super old advertisement on coke..try all different type of coke from all ard the whole n all the weird weird flavour..some really taste yucky..like those cough syrups..so lucky we dun haf to drink those..also got some unique taste like ginger flavour those kind..new but i dun really like it..bought some sourveir for the ladies..lip balm with all different coke flavours..ha..shu u wait till i visit more places then i get u sth nice..or do u haf any preference?

oh..the climate here..is like genting..not v cold but it keep raining for the past few days lor..v bad..1st day we when this kruspy kreme to eat doughnuts..it's really wow..v filling n the doughnuts haf all kind of shapes and sizes n it's super SWEET!!!!but it is nice too..

The hostel tt i live in..nice cosy place..the staffs r nice ..n they haf tis v big doggy name Toby..v obedient 8 yr old dog..the owner is in california surfing now..so onli the staffs ard to serve us..we haf 10 ppl in 1 bunk..gals n guys..all our ppl so no worry..can hear police siren every nite..1st nite we c 4 police cars chasing after 1 druken driver..

So many thinggy to tell u all...but dunno where to start..more things to come...I tink i'll upload the pics ltr..mayb can try to catch some zzz now..haha..
