Yesterday, it was raining heavily. I was on way to the girl's home at dEfU lane. (FYI, DeFu laNe is at some uLU place in hougang area.) To be in an ulu place is bad enough, to get stuck in an ulu place on a rainy day is worse.

I had to cross the road, and the way of crossing is very weird. U can only cross one direction first, then get stuck in the middle while waiting for the traffic in the next direction to turn red, and then cross the other direction.

So u see... it was RAINING DAMNED HEAVILY. When i was standing in the middle of nowhere, waiting for the lights to turn red, i saw puddles of water on BOTH sides of the road. Only 1 m of free space for me to move abt, water will definitely splash onto me if cars zoom pass. I told myself: "shit, better siam when cars are moving pass me. if not, the dirty water will just splash onto me." So i siam fr one side to the other side and looked so pathetic in the middle of the road.

The traffic light turned yELLOw. YAY! Finally, i was feeling happy tt i manage to get thru the ordeal and was abt to get ready to cross so i was already standing nearer to the road. VOOMMMM.....!!!! yes, it was a car. A CAR! the stupid car beat the traffic light! and next was just SPLAAASSSSHHH!!!

vulgarities spilled out of my mouth.

i was DRENCHED. Drenched not by the rain, but by dirty rainwater...

the morale of the story is: Use a bridge when it is raining.
